In its more than 30 year – run as a production company, Probe has put together an extensive collection of archival material. Probe Archives is now digitally converted and made accessible to the general public, most especially the new generation. Through Probe Archives, it is our hope that our content will encourage the younger generation to revisit history and help them fight disinformation.

History demands remembrance so we do not repeat it.

This recollection is particularly critical, with a nation on the cusp of choosing a new leader. We look back so a new path — hopefully forward — for the Philippines is clearer.

In this curated playlist by Probe Archives, we give you access to documentaries released from 1988 to 2004. It covers almost 20 years of authoritarian influence and controversy, even after the protracted and bloody rule of former Philippine president and dictator Ferdinand Marcos.

No matter what revisionists and fake news would have you believe, the documentaries within contain irrefutable fact: we as a people were cheated, misled, lied to. Thousands among us were abused and killed.

The lesson we take away from these events must be that we cannot and will not allow them to happen again.

History is there to revisit, not revise. It can never be rewritten.
